Over the summer this bench In front of American Apparel on Houston became extremely popular.Every one who is anyone was seen here .MTV did a segment on the the bench while the trendy store Alife threw a party there DJ Cipha Sounds as the event host.Alife even came out with a t-shirt with the slogan ABENCH and busy doing nothing.the whole summer this was the place to be seen attracting people like Kanye West's DJ A-TRACK and Grammy Award–winning record producer Dante Ross.The whole thing was a anti "it" scene movement .Poking fun of club promoters and there junk filled Myspace bulletins.But i had a different experience with the infamous bench.As I was waiting for an interview at American Apparel(i didn't get the job btw)this bum was sitting next to me ..snoring and about to fall over.I was kind of disgusted so i moved away.The most surprising thing was once he got up to go help the Chinese spot owner from around the corner.... he had marked his territory with the 5 year old foam ....tisk tisk ..only in ny
